ND-Burma warmly congratulates Ko Bo Kyi, joint secretary and co-founder of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) which is one of the ND-Burma members, on receiving the 2026 Ramon Magsaysay Award.
We honor Ko Bo Kyi for his unwavering defense of Burma’s political prisoners and their families. No one should be imprisoned for peacefully expressing their beliefs. Families have the right to know where their loved ones are held, and those who have suffered abuse in detention have the right to justice.
